Sandbox URL:
To switch to the Sandbox environment, use the following URL: https://sandbox.travelroam.com/api.
- Environment Isolation: The sandbox environment is entirely isolated from the live production environment, ensuring that any testing or development activity does not affect live data or actual customer transactions.
- Testing Capabilities: Users can simulate various scenarios in the sandbox, including order placement, balance checking, and bundle management. This allows for a thorough validation of integration setups before going live.
- Resetting Data: The sandbox environment could allow for periodic resets, which would clear test data, allowing users to start with a fresh state for new test cycles.
- Usage Limits: There may be API usage limits in the sandbox environment to prevent excessive load on the system, even though it is separate from the live environment.
- Error Simulation: The sandbox may offer capabilities to simulate errors or specific response codes (e.g., 400, 403, 500) to test error-handling procedures in integration.
Live Environment URL:
To switch to the Live environment, use the following URL: https://travelroam.com/api.
Important Note on Environment Usage for Purchases
- Live Transactions: Any bundle purchases or similar actions initiated through these channels(Documentation & Web Portal) will directly impact live data, affecting real balances and services. Be cautious when performing actions intended solely for testing, as they will be reflected in the production system.
- Testing in Sandbox: For testing and development purposes, please utilize the sandbox environment specifically set up for these needs. Access the sandbox at https://sandbox.travelroam.com/api. This environment enables testing without affecting live resources or balances.
- Environment Switching: To ensure no unintended actions are executed on production data, verify the environment URL (Development or Production) in the API endpoint configurations prior to initiating any test.
By providing clear separation, TravelRoam allows users to safely test features in the sandbox, while production remains secure for real-time operations.
